The Trapps

Ike is now 20 weeks old and showed us a couple of cool new skills over the weekend.

- On Saturday, he seemed to have found his noggin for the first time. He spent a large portion of the day continually putting his hand on his head, which I must say was pretty damn cute. I would have to presume that the purpose of this was to: a) check his hair; b) check to see that his head was still there; or c) to do it just because he could.

- On Sunday, he kept making a spitting sound pretty much all day. Apparently this is a skill that my wonderful sister Barb taught him on Friday.

- Also on Sunday, I was fortunate enough to be tasked with cutting his fingernails. With a nice big scratch on his head, it seemed we could wait no longer. This is perhaps the task I dread the most and this occurrence didn’t go any smoother. After cutting the first four nails on his right hand, I thought I was getting good. I cut the nail on his thumb and moved onto his left hand. Two nails into his left hand I noticed blood all over the place. I had nicked his right thumb and it was bleeding everywhere. I felt horrible.
