Four Month Visit
Isaac had his four month visit today, complete with three shots!
He is steadily gaining weight (and height). He now weighs in at 17lbs-15ounces and is 24 inches long (95th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height). According to our pediatrician, he is as healthy as can be and appears to be developing normally. She has instructed us to (if possible) hold off on solid foods until he closes in on the 6 month mark. Since breastfeeding has been going well and he seems to be getting enough food in that manner, I think we can hold off on the rice cereal for a little while.
Did I mention he had three shots today? He was definitely not a happy camper for the remainder of the day after the shots...
He's getting closer to sitting up on his own now. He doesn't require much help to sit up, but definitely still falls over if you let go. He leans forward almost anytime you sit him up now. Apparently, babies often learn to sit up by leaning forward and pushing up on their own??? Don't know, but it seems a little uncomfortable the way he leans forward.
