The Trapps

This was another good week for the Ikester. He is smiling more and more and really beginning to play a lot. He gets real excited and throws his arms and legs around when he plays. He loves to be held facing away from you so he can check everything out. He is beginning to suck on his hand a little bit more, but still won't take a pacifier but for a few moments. He'll suck on Crystal's finger when he's real upset, but doesn't seem to like mine at all. Mornings are usually his happiest part of the day, and he is at his fussiest in the late evening. He's always hungry. We're having trouble keeping it down to a feeding once every two hours. Breastfeeding is still going well for Crystal. She is pumping a little bit and I am doing some of the nigthtime feedings.

Sleep: We had a bit of a relapse this week with several not so good sleep nights, but he's generally still getting at least one 4-5 hour sleep segment in a night. We have had to put him in his carseat almost every night to get him to sleep. Otherwise, he moves his arms too much while he sleeps and startles himself awake,

Poop: Cloth diapers good. We just ordered our second round of diapers which should take us through the next ten months are so. There is a fair amount of overlap between the newborn sizes and the medium sizes, so we're taking advantage of it

Firsts: Ike had his first brewery tour this past weekend! We went to lunch at Schlafly Bottleworks on Saturday and took the brewery tour afterwards. Though he may have almost started crying, I'm sure it was because we didn't give him any of our free samples after the tour.

New Equipment: Can't really think of anything too exciting ... we bought a hamper and put up a shelf in the bathroom for his diapers and accessories.
