Three Weeks
Ike is now three weeks old! His third week was filled with all sorts of exciting things…
He has been getting a preview of what his teenage years will most likely entail in that he has a pretty decent case of baby acne; the rest of his umbilical cord finally fell off; he’s getting a better feel for how to use his hands; he’s awake more and makes more eye contact with us; .
We (Crystal) took him back to St. E’s for another hearing test on Thursday. Hearing in his left ear is 100%, but there were still some inconclusive results with his right ear. However, it still sounds like it’s not a real big deal and the pediatrician doesn’t seem very concerned at all.
Over the weekend, we finally dared to venture out with him. On Friday night we took him into Kentucky Fried Chicken to pick up some dinner. On Saturday, we took him outside for a little while. On Sunday, we went to that new little restaurant called Mack’s Diner (across the street from Friday’s on IL 159) and sat outside with him while we ate lunch. Finally Crystal is getting an opportunity to get out and about a little bit.
