Birth & stuff
After an Easter Sunday full of lesser contractions, things started getting
more intense as the evening progressed. Crystal was convinced that the
contractions were indicative of false labor, but finally, at approximately
12:30 am, we grabbed our bag and headed to the hospital. At this point,
Crystal's contractions were about 3 minutes apart (quite a bit closer than
the 5 minute frequency at which they told us to head to the hospital). The
previous plan that she would take a "wait and see" approach on drugs was out
the window. Quoting Crystal, "I don't care if this is false labor, I want
drugs." Of course when we checked in and had to give them all of the
information Crystal had already filled out on the pre admittance forms
(gotta love hospitals).
After 3 long hours of labor, Isaac Daniel Trapp was born at approximately
3:33 am on Monday, March 28, 2005.
